Description
An iron sculpture based on the landscape
Inspired by Takachiho Gorge in the artist's home prefecture of Miyazaki, this work translates the gorge's rock walls into an iron polyhedral structure. Its circular composition encloses a large central void, evoking the flow of the river below. Rather than reproducing the landscape directly, the sculpture gives three-dimensional form to an embodied memory of the artist's hometown.
