Kazutaka Shioi (b. 1987) lives and works in Munakata, Fukuoka, Japan. He holds an M.Ed. from the Graduate School of Education at Fukuoka University of Education. Drawing on landscapes from his immediate surroundings, he creates sculptures and installations. He has participated in exhibitions and art projects across Europe and Asia. His work is held in the collections of the National Art Gallery Langkawi in Malaysia, Institut Teknologi Bandung in Indonesia, and Munakata Taisha, part of a UNESCO World Heritage site in Japan. He currently serves as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Teacher Education Fukuoka and Nippon Designers School Kyushu College.
