A site-specific installation transferring the surfaces of a red-brick office building onto washi paper

This work used frottage with washi paper and graphite to transfer textures from the walls and floors of the former Tokyo Rope Manufacturing Kokura Plant's red-brick office building. The collected sheets were rearranged inside the building, allowing the memory of the industrial architecture to emerge like a removed 'skin.' Time inscribed in the architecture is presented as a tactile landscape.
