Description
A site-specific installation transferring the surfaces of Tanga Market onto washi paper
Using frottage, washi paper was placed against walls and floors throughout Tanga Market and rubbed with graphite to collect their textures. By layering the resulting sheets in space, the work reconstituted the building's material memory as a second 'skin.' Traces accumulated through everyday activity are presented as a tactile landscape.

旦過市場の表面を和紙へ写し取ったサイトスペシフィック・インスタレーション
和紙を市場の壁や床面にあて、黒鉛で凹凸を擦り取るフロッタージュによって、旦過市場の表面を採集した作品。複数の紙片を空間に重ねることで、建物の物質的な記憶をもう一枚の「皮膚」として立ち上げた。日常の営みが蓄積した場所の痕跡を、触覚的な風景として提示している。
