Description
A site-specific installation transforming street textures into illuminated traffic cones
Textures from the pavement and walls of Uomachi Sunroad Shopping Street were transferred onto washi paper through graphite frottage, then used to cover traffic cones. Light from LEDs inside the cones shone through the traces of the site, transforming everyday street markers into beacons carrying the memory of the neighborhood. The installation made visible both the passage of time and the movement of people through the shopping street.

Description
商店街の表面を写し取った和紙でカラーコーンを再構成したインスタレーション
魚町サンロード商店街の路面や壁の凹凸を、黒鉛のフロッタージュによって和紙へ写し取り、その紙でカラーコーンを覆ったインスタレーション。内蔵したLEDの光が土地の痕跡を透かし、日常の交通標識を街の記憶を宿す灯りへ変えた。商店街という場所の時間と、人々の往来を可視化している。
