In the summer of 2024, I participated in the "Barehands Residency" artist-in-residence program in Malaysia, spending a month creating new work. Each day was filled with inspiration. Through total immersion in my practice and meaningful exchanges with local artists and organizers, I truly felt myself growing as an artist. I am participating in BAREHANDS RESIDENCY, an artist-in-residence program in Malaysia. It was made possible with the support of various staff and organizations, with local artist Juhari Said as a mentor. The studio is located deep in the jungle, about 40 minutes drive northeast of Kuala Lumpur. I am currently working on a site-specific work related to the mythology of the Malay Archipelago. The solo exhibition will be held at the National Art Gallery of Malaysia in Langkawi.

The international web media designboom has featured my work maked in Futaba-machi, Fukushima Prefecture. I am happy that through this project, I was able to help communicate the current situation in Futaba-machi to the world.
